Fantasia Strawberry Lemonade Flavored Hookah Tobacco

Fantasia Strawberry Lemonade is another incarnation of the wildly popular Pink Lemonade that had been the talk of the modern hookah community some time ago.  I had to give this one a try as some people have said that it is one of the better flavors that Fantasia has to offer.

The smell on this tobacco is great.  It’s slightly lemony but mostly an artificial and candy strawberry scent.  I like natural flavors a lot more than candied ones but Fantasia is known for their candy, dessert and mixed drink flavors so this is what you should expect.

The clouds are exactly what I expect from Fantasia.  Big a fluffy.  Sure to make the cloud seekers happy.

The flavor is good.  It’s mostly lemonade with a decently strong flavor of strawberry candy.  I think it is very accurate to the strawberry lemonade drink powders that you can buy.  My major complaint witht his flavor is that I wish it was stronger.  It seems like they dialed back on the lemonade to let the strawberry be noticeable.  I think this was a good decision but I wish there was a way to make them both nice and strong.  Then again, if Fantasia was able to make a strawberry flavor that was strong they would be sitting on thrones at their offices.  That’s like the holy grail for many hookah smokers.

7.5 out of 10.  It’s not jaw dropping and it’s far from a favorite but it’s something I could see keeping around.  It’s tasty and it has good heat resistance allowing you to get nice big clouds without sacrificing flavor.  I think it’s a flavor that is worth checking out and if you like candy flavors it should be on your list.

Social Smoke Strawberry Daiquiri

I was just recently speaking of mixed drink type tobaccos in a recent post.  This is another incarnation that is entirely different in nature.  A strawberry daiquiri is kind of a candyish drink to begin with.  It consists of blended strawberries, sugar, lime juice and white rum.  Understanding that this flavor is going to be candy like right from the start is going to make the favor a bit more enjoyable to people like me that are sticklers for accuracy.

The smell out of the can is awesome.  It’s slightly sour and smells like strawberry candies.  I’m not too hopeful for a strong flavor though.  Strawberry is a notoriously weak flavor.

The smoke is what you expect from Social Smoke.  Very big and very smooth.

The flavor on Social Smoke Strawberry Daiquiri was very weak when I started the bowl.  I was using a micro funnel bowl and two small pieces of an exotica coal.  It was not until I added a third piece of charcoal that any noticeable flavor presented it’s self.  The flavor at this point was slightly of strawberry candies with a somewhat sour note that is not distinctly lime but is tasty.  The flavor was pleasant but still very light by my standards.

5 out of 10.  I really don’t like giving this a 5 because the flavor is tasty it’s just damn weak.  I enjoyed it but that does not mean that it should be better.  I bet my girlfriend and my other hookah smoking female friends will really enjoy this one.  I suggest picking some up if you are looking for a candy strawberry flavor.  It’s not all that accurate to the flavor of a natural strawberry but it’s a decent candied strawberry.

Social Smoke Strawberry flavored Hookah Tobacco

I have made posts before about my feelings on strawberry hookah tobacco.  I have yet to find a strawberry tobacco that was accurate but that is understandable.  I did not expect anything realistic in an accurate way when I first got my hands on some Social Smoke Strawberry.  What I got was pleasant and tasty.

The smell on this is a candy strawberry.  It’s a lot like strawberry bubble gum.  If you don’t expect natural strawberry you will not be surprised by the smell.  Natural strawberry is one of the hardest flavors to replicate.  The flavor is pretty much identical to the smell.  It’s light but it’s tasty.  I would not equate it to a fresh piece of strawberry bubble gum but it’s like the after taste from the gum after you spit it out.  It’s sweet and artificial but not chemical.

So far with social smoke I have experienced great clouds from all flavors and strawberry is no different.  Big puffy clouds that block light and make it hard to see friends.

7 out of 10.  Dinged for strength of flavor more than anything.  The other points are for price and one for improvement.  I don’t give out tens lightly.  If this flavor were stronger I would love it.  It’s one of teh best strawberry flavors I have had yet but there is still a lot of room for improvement.  If you like strawberry and are nto expecting something that tastes like the actual fruit this is a great option for you.

Tangiers Lucid Strawberry flavored hookah tobacco

Brand and Flavor:  Tangiers Lucid Strawberry

Shisha Tobacco Cut:  It’s the general Tangiers cut.  Brown and very wet.

Hookah Type: KM double trimetal.  Nammor hose

Duration: 1 hour and 40 minutes

Bowl: Vortex bowl

Foil / Screen:  Double regular foil

Coal / Amount:  4 CH QL coals

Smoke:  Awesome smoke.  Very thick and dense. A strong mouth feel.

Buzz:  Medium.  It’s nice and relaxing.

Smell / Flavor:  It smells like strawberry jam.  The flavor is similar.  It’s kind of like breathing over a pot of strawberries and sugar cooking on the stove.

Rating (1 to 10):  7  I still have not found the perfect strawberry but I am discovering some interesting attempts along the way.  This flavor has a distinctly natural quality to it.  It oes not taste like artificial strawberry.  Rather it tastes like preserved strawberries.  The combination of molasses and strawberry flavors makes it taste kind of like dehydrated strawberry.  It must sound like this is the best strawberry flavor on teh market but it has the same problem that most strawberry flavors have.  It’s weak.  I can taste the flavor and, unlike many other strawberries, I can actually say that it tastes like strawberry.  But it’s still too light.  I just think that strawberry is not a flavor meant to translate well into tobacco.  As a complimenting flavor it’s wonderful.  As a standalone strawberry just does not have the strength to hold up.
