I can taste the quick lights, and I am not a fan of that at all. However, when I have friends over, I use quick lights for their convenience. They are easy to start, you don't have to play around with them to get good heat management, and they are easy to keep adding when one coal burns down. In other words, I prefer natruals with good friends who are in the know, but I won't turn my nose up at a good quick light with good friends! I definitely prefer natrual coals.
